Vastis face inadequate infrastructure, leading to a reliance on poorly maintained community toilets and improper waste disposal.
Our goals
- Facilitate maintenance of community toilets in vastis
- Coordinate cleaning and improve condition of community toilets
- Encourage responsible garbage disposal habits
- Organize composting of kitchen waste in vastis in collaboration with other stakeholders
Our initiatives
Maintain and improve conditions in 520 community toilets used by 180,000 residents
Educate users and cleaning staff; establish Sanitation Committees to oversee maintenance
Operate seven composting facilities, processing 500 kg of wet waste daily from 1,500 households.
